Arnold V. Aguirre, age 60, passed away August 11, 2017. He was born on March 6, 1957 to Guadalupe Castillo and Tomas Aguirre in Corpus Christi, TX. He was raised in Corpus Christi and also briefly resided in Austin and Houston, TX before bringing his family back to Corpus Christi. While in Houston, TX, he completed his vocational training to be a machinist at WKM. This enabled him to provide a good life for his family. He married his wife of 44 years on December 10, 1973. Arnold was retired from GE Oil and Gas. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Arnold will always be remembered for his commitment and devotion to his wife and children, his quick wit, intelligence, love of laughter and life, and generous nature to all. He was strong, proud, handsome and loving. Arnold was generous with his knowledge and time. He became a surrogate father to many nephews, nieces and friends. Arnold fought a brave battle and God allowed him to rest after 6 years of intense illness. His life was and is a testimony of perseverance. His legacy will carry on through his children and grandchildren. He provided an example of the fulfillment of duties expected from a son, husband, father and friend.
Arnold is preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe Castillo and his father Tomas Aguirre. Arnold is survived by his loving queen of a wife Diana Aguirre, princess daughters Lisa (Jose) De Osio, Frances Ruby Aguirre, Angela (Felix Gonzalez) Aguirre and his son, his only son, his numero uno, his road dog, Mark (Roxane) Aguirre, God child, Christopher Chapa and twelve grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor of being honorary pallbearers are: Benjamin Aguirre, Jakob Aguirre, Brandon Bowman, Eric Bowman, Christopher Chapa, Andy De Osio, Chris De Osio, and Ruben Gomez.
