I am so sorry for your families loss of your loved one. I did not know them personally but we all feel the effects that death has on all of us. For me the Bible has brought a lot of comfort to me. One scripture that has really given me comfort is found at 2 Cortinthans 1:3, 4 it states in part "... the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." The key word in the scriptures here is COMFORT!! We can gain a lot of comfort in the Bible. Revelation 21:4gives us a clear answer with what God is going to do with death. It states "And he(God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." It's a beautiful thought that God is going to do away with Death ! It's a promise from God so we can be well assured that it will come true.
