Service Details

Carol passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Carol was born in Sinton, Texas on July 19, 1939 to Rachael and Minnis Lee Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael (Mike) B. Thomas and his son Kevin Thomas and wife, Kim. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Carol was an elementary reading teacher in Corpus Christi ISD before moving with her husband to Richardson ISD where she was employed as a fourth-grade teacher at the Hamilton Park Pacesetter School. Upon her retirement in 1996, she and Mike began living fulltime RV life style for twenty years before returning to Corpus Christi.
Carol had a great passion and zest for teaching, for reading, traveling, birding and being with friends and family.
A Memorial Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Drive Corpus Christi, Texas 78412.
