Service Details

Collie E. Cotton, 82, passed into God’s hands on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on August 27, 1934 in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Cotton; children, Robin Cotton, Collie Jay Cotton, Teresa Cotton, Joseph Sean Cotton; grandchildren, Catherine Mayfield, Brandon Morgan, Justin Morgan, Emma Morgan and Colin Cotton; sisters, Barbara Kirk and Nita Rainier.
Collie proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy until his retirement as Chief Petty Officer. He was one of the first volunteers aboard the USS Lexington. He enjoyed western novels and was an avid treasure hunter who enjoyed traveling to different contests.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home from 11am – 1:30pm. A chapel service will be held at Seaside Chapel at 1:30pm. After the service the family would like a private graveside service.
