I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one in death. In this world we live in we are all profoundly effected by death. But the Bible holds out a wonderful hope for the future it is stated in Revelation 21:3,4 which states in part"...Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Death will be no more !! We can have full confidence that what God says will come true. But what about the ones that have already passed away in death?? The Bible holds out a hope for them too in Acts 24:15 " ...which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection...." A resurrection! We can read many accounts of when Jesus resurrected ones back from the dead . No one is forgotten.
