Edith Bell Young Bellah, 93, met her maker on the morning of January 2nd and reunited with her parents, husband, 8 siblings, 2 daughters, and 1 granddaughter.  She passed away in her sleep of natural causes. 

Edith was born February 21, 1924, in Booker, TX near the family homestead in Beaver, OK.  In June 1941, Edith married William (Bill) Bellah of Corpus Christi and they were married until his passing in 1996.  Edith will be interned next to her husband, Bill. 

Edith enjoyed travel, adventure, and family.  She had a contagious laugh, can-do attitude, and a playful sense of humor.  She cared deeply for her family and was quick to share praise, laughter, and wisdom.  Edith’s legacy includes 2 daughters, Katherine Wood & Darlene Disrud, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.  She was very close with all her relatives, numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The celebration of Edith’s life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7th at Seaside Funeral Home, 4357 Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8th at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment to follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
