Eva M. Galvan passed away November 9, 2017. She was born on October 22, 1923 to Carlos and Jesusa Martinez in Mercedes, Texas. She graduated from Corpus Christi ISD. She was married to her husband Margarito Galvan for fifty years. Eva and her husband owned and operated a Coffee Shop at Gillespe Buick and Corpus Christi City Hall. Eva enjoyed gardening, sewing and making quilts. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and providing free after school care through the years to children attending Holy Family Catholic School.
Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Galvan. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Rebecca Galvan, Estella (David) Barrera, Lucy (Victor) Moreno, Sally (Roger) Morgan, her beloved nephew, Carlos Martinez, brother, Adan Martinez of California, grandchildren, Lisa (Jerry) Leal, Amanda Moreno, Anna Moreno, Victor Moreno, III, Bruce Morgan, John David Morgan, Cindy (Leroy) Lopez, Debbie Bennett, David Barrera, III, twenty great- grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Seaside Reid Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
