George McCullough Wilkinson, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 25, 2014. He was born in Alice, Texas on March 28, 1923. His parents were Thaddeus Archiebald and Elsie E. (Kristyn) Wilkinson. He graduated Corpus Christi High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors from Texas Tech University. He served in the Army Air Force from March 25, 1943 to September 22, 1945 and flew 31 B17 missions in Europe during WWII while stationed at Rougham field England. George married Mary Jane Hartman on August 15, 1959 in Washington DC and they were married 54 years. At that time, George was working for the FBI in Washington DC. He was a loving and proud father. George worked as a teacher/coach for Corpus Christi Independent School District for 30 plus years. In 1961, he coached Wynn Seale to the city junior high championship. He enjoyed golf, tennis, going to the beach, watching baseball, chess, travelling, and playing cards with family and friends. He was also a member of the Mayflower Society and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of humor, telling stories, love for learning, and his all night card playing with his brothers, sister, and family.  

George is preceded in death by sister, Lillie Belle Baber; brothers: Clarence O. Wilkinson, Thaddeus A. Wilkinson, Roy L. Wilkinson, Clifton J. Wilkinson, and Raymond A. Wilkinson.
George is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Wilkinson; daughter, Kristyn Wilkinson; sons, Thad (Barbara) Wilkinson, Brad Wilkinson; grandchildren, Hallye (Kyle) Fletcher, Todd Wilkinson; and great-grandchild, Weston Fletcher.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Michael Gabby of Resurrection Lutheran Church will be officiating. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the first floor of Holmgreen Center and Odyssey Nurses for the love and care given to him.
