Harry (Hal) Warren, Jr., 92, passed away on March 25, 2017. Harry was born on April 3, 1924 to Harry & Marie Warren. He graduated from McAllen High School in 1942. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945. Harry was employed by Warren and Sons, Inc. He enjoyed participation in boating, coaching little league Baseball, Boy Scouts, his church choir, long conversations with his buddies about time spent in Navy and land surveying. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, adventure, service in the church and devotion to family. Harry was working in Alice, Texas for Trunkline Gas Co. when he met his wife of 60 years Jane Powell. He later was employed as a land surveyor and moved back to McAllen, Texas with his family. Harry was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents and brother. He is survived by his wife Jane, three sons and their wives, Harry & Amy, Fred & Duk-Hui, Perry & June; 2 grandsons, Gabe & Ty Warren, many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.
Harry established his own Survey Company, Warren and Sons, Inc. in 1971 when his employer, Sun Oil Company moved their offices to Dallas, Texas. He retired in 2015 and sold his company to Brister Surveying located in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home. Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Brighton Park Baptist Church.
