Janie Harris Posada, age 79, passed away January 22, 2018. She was born on December 23, 1938 to Felix and Adelina Harris in Alice, Texas. She was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. She married her loving husband of sixty years on June 10, 1957. Janie will always be remembered for her love of laughter, conservative nature, and her loving devotion to her family.
Janie is preceded in death by her Parents, Felix Harris, Sr. and Adelina Harris. Left to cherish her memories are her Husband, Luz “Luis” Posada and her only Daughter Diana Posada Hernandez (Rene Hernandez, Jr.), Grandson: Rene Luis Hernandez (Deborah Lopez) and their Daughter, Maleyah and his Children: Ileanna, Rene Jacob “R.J.”, Jaylin, Khloe, Rene, Mia, Grandson: Chris Hernandez (Alyssa) and their Children: Cassandra, Chris, Briella and Braelee: Great-Great Grandson, Jaxson Anthony Cavazos, Brothers: Felix Harris, Jr., Pete Harris, Juan Harris, Roy Harris, Sisters: Julia Bernal, Isabel De Los Santos, Josie Benavides, Lina DeLeon, Olga De La Cruz.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Services will conclude at Church.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are: Rene Hernandez, Jr., Rene Luis Hernandez, Rene Jacob “R.J.” Hernandez, Chris D. Hernandez, Chris Hernandez and Pete Harris.
