Lita met the love of her life, Antonio Fuentes, in Corpus Christi. They married on August 31, 1952 and just recently celebrated 65 years of marriage together. Upon returning to Corpus Christi, Lita taught at Prescott Elementary School for many years.
Lita supported Tony during all of his medical education and training. The family settled in Corpus Christi where Tony started his medical practice in the early 1960’s. She then devoted herself to raising her family and being socially active in the community. She was active for many years with Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
