Lupe Q. Guillen, 76, passed away on January 12, 2018 with her family by her side. She preceded in death by beloved husband, Louis P. Guillen and by her parents, Robert and Sulema Quinones.
Lupe retired from her job as a bookkeeper/secretary, from a welding company, in 2005 to be a stay at home grandmother to her one and only grandchild. As she stated, that was the absolute greatest and most joyous job she ever had in her life. Lupe loved and adored her daughter, son, grandson and family with all her heart and they all meant the world to her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two children, Jennifer G. Perez and Louis Robert Guillen, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, grandson, Derek Robert Guillen, son-in-law, Romeo Perez, beloved sisters, Irma Fabela, Bertha Castaneda, Pearl Leal and beloved brother, Robert Quinones, all of Corpus Christi, Texas, beloved brother-in-law, Joe Richard Sanchez, of San Antonio, Texas, all her beloved nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, cousins and extended family, and all her sweet, loyal companion, her dog, Bonnie (who my mother adored). We all will always remain forever in her heart.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Jason Leal, Robert Joseph Quinones, Jeremy Watts, Dino Guillen, Benjamin Quinones and Joe Richard Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers are Derek R. Guillen, Emmet Sanchez and Romeo Perez.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Most Percious Blood Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
