Nola Dene Gunn, or “Bootsie” as she was known by those who loved her, was called to her eternal home Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, to William George Patterson and Agnes Goss Patterson on July 29, 1932.
Nola will always be remembered for her caring nature, patience, honesty, devotion and great cooking skills. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Nola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Billy Joe Gunn, two sons Richard Wayne Gunn and Robert Lynn Gunn, one grandson, J.D. Logan, three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Dene Gunn(Carolyn) and Ronald Gene Gunn(Robin), one daughter, Reba Christene Gunn Jackson(Wayne), nine grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister, JoAnn Hood(Paul) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Seaside Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 22, at Altar of Prayer Church, 3945 Ayers, Corpus Christi, Texas at 11:30am with burial to follow at Seaside Cemetery.
