Rheda Elliff Ward, born March 1, 1929, passed away June 26, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the daughter of the late William L. “Bill” Elliff and Reda Grace Benderman Elliff. She descends from the Kelly, Acebo and Elliff families, all early 1800 residents in the Corpus Christi area.
She is preceded by her husband of 51 years, James A. Ward, parents, siblings, Billie Jo Scott, John W. and Hicks E. Elliff. Survived by Lisbeth (Larry) Stuever and sons Jason, Matthew and Joshua, Laura (John) Rice, children: Michael, Lucy, Emma and James, great grandchildren: Matthew Stuever Jr., Daniel Stuever, Maria Pandy and Parker Ward, also cousins, nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
