Robert Dale Knandel, age 65, passed away May 20, 2017. He was born on February 02, 1952 to Benny Bruno Knandel and Frieda Knandel in San Antonio, Texas.
He married his wife of 34 years on January 28, 1983. Robert Knandel was retired from Brooks Range Contract Service, Stanley Bryan GMC, and Al Willeford Chevy. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He enjoyed participation in Boy Scouts of America, racing, motorcycling, boating at the lake, BBQing and working with his hands.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Benny Knandel; mother, Frieda Knandel and brother, Kenneth Knandel.
Robert is survived by his spouse, Cindy Knandel; daughter, Rebecca Meyer; sons, Ben Knandel, Chris Knandel; son-in-law, Tim Meyer; sister, Carolyn Knandel; grandchildren, Andrew Meyer, Lauren Meyer, Micaela Knandel, Micah Knandel; niece, Cheryl Knight; Nephew, Paul Harpel; his service dog, Hanz Kaiser; dog, L.C. Girl and Ella the goose.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Memorial Service to follow at First Baptist Church (Chapel) at 11:00 a.m. on May 27, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church School and Boy Scouts of America (Troop 2).
