Robert C. Tamez, Jr., age 72, passed away May 16, 2017. He was born on April 13, 1945 to Robert C. and Zulema M. Tamez in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1963.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. Robert C. Tamez Jr. was a loving father, son and brother. He will always be remembered for his devotion to family and his love for Motown music.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; Robert C. Tamez Sr. and Zulema M. Tamez, and his daughter Lorraine Esparza Tamez.
Robert C. Tamez Jr. is survived by his daughters, Doris Ann Tamez Best and Priscilla Tamez McKinney; son, Robert Esparza Tamez III; son-in-law, Kenneth Brian McKinney; siblings, Mary Ann Yates, Irene Henry, Richard M. Tamez, Diana Luedders, Rose Tamez Willis and Yvonne Tamez Matchett; grandchildren, Joshua Elias Best, James Zachary Best, Isaiah Kenneth McKinney, Genevieve Joy McKinney and Brisa Rose Tamez; nephews Harvey Yates Jr., Michael A. Yates and Ernest Garcia.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Robert Esparza Tamez III, Kenneth Brian McKinney, Joshua Elias Best, Jamez Zachary Best, Michael A. Yates and Ernest Garcia.
