Steven Charles Kurtz, age 62, passed away February 15, 2018. He was born on October 3, 1955 to James and Lillie Kurtz. He was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Corpus Christi State University in 1978.
Steve retired from Antonion High School. He was a loving father, son and brother. He will be remembered for his love for his dogs Gus and Woody.
Steve enjoyed coaching thousands of athletes in the San Antonio and Corpus Christi Areas. His soul was gentle, quiet, beautiful and kind. He encouraged thousands of athletes and students to excel in both life and academics.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, James Kurtz. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Hannah Kurtz and Kristen Cook, mother, Lillie Kurtz, siblings, Gary Kurtz(Tina), Danny Kurtz(Roberta), Linda Hays(Mike), Cheryl Riddick(Randy), Susan Crockett and Judy Paulson(Matt).
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S.P.I.D. Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SPCA or any animal or wildlife charity of your choice.
