Amelia Curiel

We face tomorrow with joyful faith, because today is full of grace.
It is with great sadness, that the family of Amelia Mendiola Curiel announces her passing on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the age of 94 years. She was born in Hebbronville, Texas on December 16, 1923.
Amelia will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her children: Luis Arnoldo (Debbie), Gilberto (Maricella), Ernesto, Leonides, Mickey (Hayes), Angelina and Angelita. She will also be fondly remembered by her 25 grandchildren, 48 great- grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren, her brother: Luis Mendiola and sisters: Bertha Serna and Elena Canales.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaspar, Sr., sons: Jose Arturo, Gaspar, Jr. and daughter: Rosalinda Curiel.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are her sons, grandsons and granddaughter. Honorary pallbearer will be Javier Mendiola.
