Andru James Bass, age 18, passed away May 25, 2021. He was born on September 18, 2002 to James Bass and Anna Erevia at Doctors Regional Medical Center, in Corpus Christi, TX, were he was raised and graduated from Moody High School in 2021. He was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Andru James was a loving son and brother. He enjoyed taking care of his dog Mary Jane, fishing, basketball, playing X Box 1, and uplifting friends and family. He will always be remembered for his humor, contagious laugh and smile, his wise articulated advice, being a shoulder to cry on, love of laughter, sense of adventure, and devotion to family by helping those who felt down on their luck.
Andru James is preceded in death by his aunt, Divina Lopez; grandpa, Sonny Arriola; cousin, Beth Bass; uncle, Buddy Bass; great grandma, Verda Puryear; great grandpa, Raymond Bass.
Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Rene Bass and Jordan Bass; father, James Bass; mother, Anna Erevia; Grandma and Grandpa, Linda and Gayle Bass; “Grandpa and Grandma”, Pete and Mary-Anne Besinais; and uncles, Ben Torres and Jesse and Rene Arriola.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, with a Prayer Service held at 7:00 p.m. that same night. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on June 3, 2021 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be Rene Bass, Jordan Bass, Alex and Aaron Garcia, Robert Gonzalez, Adrian Guerrero, Ryan Esquibel, and Alvino Torres.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Vernon James Bass.
