Annie M. Pospech

January 6, 1930 ~ August 25, 2017 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Mrs. Ann Pospech , age 87, and Mr. Felix Pospech, age 95, passed away August 25th and August 30th respectively, during Hurricane Harvey. They passed peacefully in their sleep a few days apart. Ann Strakos was born on January 6th, 1930 to Jim and Anna Strakos in Shiner, Texas. She graduated from Incarnate Word High School and worked as a secretary for the Celanese Chemical Plant, the Corpus Christi Police Department and Admin Assistant for Dryden and Rippy Law Firm. She was making plans to be an Airline Stewardess when she met and married Felix Pospech.
Felix Pospech was born on July 6, 1922 to Andre and Anna Pospech in Corpus Christi Texas. He graduated from Robstown High School and served a few months in WW2 until the war ended. He was an active sportsman and worked at the Corpus Christi Army Depot/Naval Air Station for 33 years.
They were preceded in death by their son Mark Pospech (deceased in 1977). Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix’s brothers, Raymond, Luis, Eddie, Willie and Ralph and an infant sister. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Margaret Stuckley, Adele Matula, Josephine Ordner and two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Strakos. They were beloved parents, aunt, uncle, brother and sister.
Felix was the last of his immediate family but is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Ann is survived by two sisters Betty Jackson of San Antonio, Texas and Paulette Little of Houston, Texas. Kathy Pospech, of Corpus Christi, Texas is their surviving daughter.
Ann enjoyed cooking but loved baking and serving food at family gatherings. She always planned trips and visits according the amount of food we would need and made sure no one ever went home empty handed with all having plenty of left overs. Felix loved to golf and all sports. He also had a great sense of humor and loved hearing and telling jokes but had a habit of laughing too hard to finish the joke!
