Barbara Lynne Appleby, age 72, passed away July 4, 2017. She was born on August 15, 1944 to Robert and Helen Grubbs in Tulsa, Ok. She was raised in Tulsa, Ok. She graduated from Texas Women’s University in 1966. She married her loving husband of forty-four years on September 15, 1972. Barbara was a loving wife, mom, and Mimi. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband and attending all of her grandchildren’s sports, hobbies, and events. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature along with her devotion to her family and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by, her father: Robert Grubbs, her mother: Helen Grubbs and her aunts: Marcile Bankston and Goldie Wagers. Left to cherish her memories is her loving husband: Tommy Appleby, daughter: Jenny Appleby McCalla, son: TJ Appleby, daughter-in-law: Mireya Appleby, Son-In-Law: Bill McCalla II, grandchildren: Ashley Flood (18), Brayden McCalla (6), Kinsley McCalla (4), Jalen Appleby (13) and Natalia Appleby (11), as well as a special friend: Betty Schwartz.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Prayer Service will be held that same afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
