Betty M. Wilder

Betty M. Wilder, age 86, passed away January 19, 2023. She was born on September 10, 1936 to James and Selma Watts. She was born and raised in Galena Park, Texas. She graduated from Galena Park High School in 1955.

Betty was a member of the Lexington Baptist Church. She married her husband Otis of 37 years on August 29. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed being a beautician. Betty and Otis had a loving relationship, they adored each other. They mentored all their loved ones, and they taught all of us life-long lessons. Betty and Otis had a love that was amazing to watch, we all learned what “true love” meant.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband: Otis Wilder, mother: Selma Watts, father: James Watts, and brother: James Watts. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters: Ginger Lytton, Teresa “Terri” Lambert (Dickie), grandson: Dorean Lytton, granddaughter: Stephanie Lee (Ron), great grandson: Byron Lee, great granddaughter: Hayden Lee, sister: Ellen “sis” Hiller, nephews: Wayne Hiller (Beverly) and Vince Hiller, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 in the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. that same morning with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are the Lexington Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lexington Baptist Church.
