Carl Frederick Levy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, November 10 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Carl was born on February 19, 1947 in Corpus Christi to Jerry and Sylvia Levy. After graduating from Ray High School, he graduated from The University of Texas. While at the university, he met and later married Leslie (Friedman), his wife of 52 years.
Carl was involved in many business ventures over the years. He was the owner of Wiener’s Dept. Store in Sinton, Texas and Warehouse Jeans in Corpus Christi. During their time in Sinton, the Levy’s welcomed their two beautiful children Adam and Alyssa.
His longest lasting and most recognized retail adventure was RoomMates, a furniture store, where he and his son Adam worked for over 30 years. He was widely recognized as “Superman” in his t.v. ads. Carl was an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it came to cheering on his favorite Texas teams—UT , Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.
Carl will be remembered for his warm personality, his generous spirit and his amazingly quick wit—always the “life of the party”.
He is survived by his loving wife , Leslie; children, Adam (Rose) and Alyssa(Aida); his brothers, Mike(Linle) and Mark(Sunny); sister-in-law, Rachel(Dave); brother-in-law, David (Michele); mother-in-law, Joy, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and his pride and joy and the lights of
his life—his grandchildren, Matthew, Madison and Sienna.
The family would like to thank his doctor, James Neff, MD and the nurses and staff at Angel Bright Hospice who showed so much love, compassion and care throughout his declining days.

There will be a Graveside Service at Seaside Memorial Park on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
