To the Woods Family,

On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Carl’s passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and our shipmate. The SUBVETS will have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Carl, who earned his 'fish' when he qualified in submarines during World War II, will always be remembered as a “Brother of the Phin”, a member of our Greatest Generation, and a great Patriot.

What an incredible servant for the Lord! He touched more lives than can be counted while demonstrating the power of his Almighty God.
We pray that the incredible memories you have will help fill the void of his physical presence.
Prayers going up for ya'll!

My life was blessed by having Carl and Norma pass through it. A godly couple until the end. Carry on Woods children.

Carl R. Woods was a Giant of a Man. He knew how to lead, how to teach, how to mentor, how to shepherd and how to love. His wife taught me from God's Word 2-3 days a week for hours on end.. Their house was open to one and all, day or night. He is one of my Heroes of the faith.
