5 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Carol's family - View on Tribute Wall
Carol Margaret Denys Green was called home to the Lord August 30, 2020 after suffering a stroke. Carol was born December 25, 1934 to John Henry and Grace Florence Denys in San Antonio Texas.
Carol married her loving husband, William “Bill” Green on April 19, 1954 and together they raised 7 children and celebrated 65 joyful years together.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, their daughter Valerie Manns, and her sister Edith Brown.
She is survived by her children William Green, Jr. (GayLynn) of Waller TX, Robin Ciscell (Merle) of McGregor TX, Stephen Green (Mona) of St Louis MO, Richard Green (Cyndi) of Boulder City NV, Nancy Hernandez (Danny) of New Braunfels TX, David Green of Albuquerque NM, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren who all loved her dearly.
Carol loved to tell the story of Bill asking her father for his approval to marry his daughter, while his soon to be father-in-law was unable to speak due to his jaw being wired shut from an injury. Before Bill and Carol were married, she studied to become a Catholic and they were joined in matrimony in the chapel at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. Carol took great pride in her children and grandchildren and was always supportive of Bill in his many endeavors.
Carol was the most loving, caring and understanding wife and mother anyone could ever ask for.
Retiring in Corpus Christi TX, Carol and Bill enjoyed their scenic gulf view from their condo on North Beach and later from their 10th floor apartment at Trinity Towers.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, traveling with her husband over the years on different adventures including trips to Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Colorado. Later in her life, when her children were not visiting, she spent her quiet time with her precious dog, Baby who will also miss her terribly.
A Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. that same day. Entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
If you would like to make a donation in Carol’s honor, she was especially fond of the Gulf Coast Humane Society: www.gchscc.org.
The Tribute DVD was lovingly created by; Ryan Hall, one of Carol’s Grandsons.
