Carolyn Hardin Vead

Carolyn Hardin Vead, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on April 24, 2022. She was born December 3, 1943, in Seymour, Texas to C.W. (Bill) and Frances Hardin and lived most of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas with short times spent in Dallas and San Antonio, TX, Lake Charles, LA and Lakeview, AR.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Russell Hardin, her father, C.W. Hardin, her sister, Valrie Hardin Miles, both sets of grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Vead (Alma), Jason Vead (Isabel) and daughter, Janel Thrash (Paul Haas), all of Corpus Christi, TX. Ten grandchildren, Nicholas Vead (Veronica), Stephanie Vead, Kimberly Vead, Krista Warren (Dan), Courtney Thrash, Colton Thrash (Kaylie), Kennedy Thrash, Jason Vead, Jr. (Aspen), Jarred Vead (Desirae) and Lorena Munoz. Six great-grandchildren, Cass Warren, Reese Warren, Austin Vead, Charleigh Vead, Kensley Vead and Wylder Thrash. She is also survived by one brother, Steve Hardin (Jenny), her children’s father, Simon Vead, Jr, and a multitude of relatives and friends.

Carolyn’s finial wishes were to be cremated with no public funeral service.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or any charity associated with respiratory diseases.
