Christopher “Chris” David Garcia, 29, went home to Jesus peacefully with his loved ones by his side on January 30, 2024. Chris was a wonderful person and loved by all who knew him, especially his family.
Chris was a graduate of Richard King High School class 2012. In high school he was a state wrestling contender, and he also found his passion for music and started playing with friends. This passion led to his music career in the Tejano/Conjunto Industry as a singer and bajo player. He played for The Blind Owls, Randy Garcia, Mando y La Venganza, Albert Flores La Juventud, Desconosido, Bajo Zero, La Kreazion and Tony Lopez y Su Conjunto. He wanted to share his talent with others and attended Del Mar College and currently was attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi majoring in vocal music with the goal of being a choir music teacher. While going through his studies he also became a member of the Del Mar Chamber Choir, Camerata Isla Chamber Choir and Mariachi de la Isla at Texas A&M CC. Everyone loved his music and golden voice. He also enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, playing video games, poker, visiting different states and enjoyed eating his favorite rich foods like steak and lobster. He especially loved playing with his loyal companion Alto. His smile brightened up the room and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his parents Rick and Diana Perez Garcia, his fiancé Marissa Lopez, daughter Abigail Kummer, brother David (Erica) Garcia, nephew Julian, nieces Jazlynn and Maddy and several uncles, aunts and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Pre-deceased by paternal grandparents Marcos & Beatrice Garcia and maternal grandparents Raul SR & Concha Perez.
