Cristina “Cristy” Marie Morales Fox claimed victory over cancer and saw the face of Jesus on February 27th, 2018 at the age of 52. After 14 years of dealing with body failing due to cancer, Cristy is now whole and rejoicing with God. Cristy was a woman of faith; she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour at the age of seven and was baptized at Southern Heights Christian Church in Lebanon, Missouri. Due to this, friends and family know they have the promise of seeing her again in Heaven. Her family clings to the promise of Revelations 21:14 –

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Cristy was a beloved mother, Mammam, sister, aunt, and friend to many. The greatest loves of her life were her children and grandchildren. Cristy was a phenomenal nurse, and had an excellent reputation as a surgical nurse in the Corpus Christi area. She always provided the best possible care for her patients. Cristy’s work family at both Christus Spohn Shoreline and Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery rallied around her after her diagnosis and provided help and support to her and her family until the last days.

Cristy was a strong woman. She was compassionate, and empathetic. Even in her last days, her primary concern was for her children – on many occasions she insisted she was okay to comfort family members. Cristy was stubborn and competitive. She loved sports and the San Antonio Spurs. Cristy enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics in her final months. Cristy was smart, witty, and sarcastic. She had an excellent sense of humor, and taught her children it was always important to be able to laugh at yourself and not take everything so seriously.

Cristy is preceded in death by her parents: Jack William Allen and Dolores Rose Allen of Lebanon, Missouri. Cristy is survived by her children- Michael David Fox and his wife Teika Marie Fox of Corpus Christi, Texas. Ashley Nicole Fox of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jonathan Eric Fox and his wife April Lovering Fox and their children Ezekiel (Zekie) David Fox and Althea (Thea) Marie Fox of Suffolk, Virginia. And daughter, Lindsay Rose Catherine Fox of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings, Brenda Lee Stricklen and Robert Lee Allen of Lebanon, Missouri and Jeffrey Wayne Allen and his wife Ronda Kay Allen of Omaha, Nebraska.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4th at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5th at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Cristy requested that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital to aid children in their fight against cancer.
