Heaven has certainly gain a new special Angel. Senator Ford was a great man, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an active member of the Corpus Christi community and a dedicated friend. Jim and Senator Ford were close friends and throughout the years of friendship he became more and more like a father figured to Jim.. Senator Ford, along Gloria and a special group of senior friends, made sure that our wedding was as perfect, intimate and special, as Jim and I wanted… My dad could not be present to walk me down the aisle and having Senator Ford hold me by the arm as I walked towards my future husband was an honor and privilege. Jim and I will be forever thankful for the years of friendship and the love we shared with him and Gloria.
We are keeping Gloria, his kids and grandkids in our thoughts and prayers.

Curtis Ford was an example to all of us. We appreciated the generous hospitality and welcome we received from Curtis and Gloria when we first visited and then moved to Texas. Age did not slow him down. He remained involved and engaged in the life of his family, community, church and his country. Thank you for your time, the opportunity to get to know you & Gloria, the chance to play cards with you and others. Thank you for your service. RIP and I know we will see you again when we are called home.

Curtis was one of the last real gentlemen. He was generous, he embraced people without regard for their social status or race/ethnicity, and he had the most wonderful sense of humor. HIs dedication to his large family and his beautiful wife set a standard that was so high. He wiill be very much missed, and may he rest in peace forever.

I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful man and friend the senator was. I still hear him telling of his bride. He always called you his bride... A man that was never to old to learn something new. A man who loved his God, his family, his country and life in general. He will be missed. If there's anything you ever need please do not hesitate to call, Kay
