Diane Z. Sehy, age 88, passed away in Corpus Christi, TX on September 30, 2021.
Born to Bernard W. Zimmerman and Berniece M. Zimmerman (nee Mullen) on November 6, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois where she was raised.
She graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois in 1954 with a BA. After college she was an elementary school teacher in Chicago, Illinois.
Diane married Patrick J. Sehy in 1957. Patrick preceded in death in 2007 in Corpus Christi, TX.
She leaves behind their two children, Kevin P. Sehy of San Antonio, TX and Jennifer L. Sehy or Corpus Christi, TX; a sister, Linda J. Orser (Paul E. Orser) of Corpus Christi, TX; a niece, Carolyn O. Sterling (Stanton) of Dallas, TX; nephew, Benjamin P. Orser (Cynthia) of Friendswood, TX; cousins, Charlotte A. Mullen of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, Tom Zeka of Hendersonville, TN and Michael Zeka of Milwaukee, WI.
Diane quit teaching to devote her time to raise her two children and to be able to share her time volunteering. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and served as President and Treasurer of the Altar and Rosary Society as well as volunteered in the Medicine Assistance Program (MAP). In her earlier years, she felt a call to volunteer with the Cradle Adoption Agency of Evanston, Illinois and remained active in her Delta Zeta sorority. She always loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and play cards and travel. Her smile, laugh, and gentle spirit will be missed.

Rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church Corpus Christi, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Seaside Memorial Park at a later date.
