Dolores Moore

Dolores “Lory” Muttera Moore, 89, passed away at home with her daughter by her side on November 22, 2021. Lory was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 4, 1932 to Freda Genz Muttera and William Alfred Muttera. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy. She met and married her loving husband Hughlan Clark “Buddy” Moore on December 10, 1950.

She was employed as an accountant and retired from Reynolds Metal Company in 1985. Lory was a devout Catholic all of her life. At her time of death she was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Prior to that she was a longtime member of St. Pius the X Catholic Church in Corpus Christi where she volunteered in the church office and ushered the 5:30 Saturday eve Mass for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hughlan Clark “Buddy” Moore, her daughter, Brenda Moore Leinweber; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Poe; her brothers, Bobby Muttera, Fred Muttera, Billy Muttera, Jerome Muttera and her nephew, Robert Vernon Poe and niece, Monica Muttera. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Moore; granddaughter, Erica Dawn Leinweber; niece, Mary Christina Poe Turilli; nephew, Tom Muttera and several great nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5620 Gollihar Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
