Obituary
Don Wolda, 72, passed away on August 15, 2018. He was many things to many people: husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol. She was his soulmate whom he loved with all his heart; their twins, Jeff and Jenny along with their spouses Sonya and Josh. Don has now been reunited with his and Carol’s beloved youngest son, Danny, in Heaven.
Although Don was dedicated and excelled at his job at Exxon Mobil, he managed to succeed in putting his family first. Whether it was coaching his kid’s soccer teams, taking his daughter on father/daughter dates or family vacations.
Don also leaves behind four grandchildren: Matthew, Austin, Coral and Jacob, and two great- grandchildren: Arianna and Liam. You have never seen anyone so proud as he was just by having one of them walk into a room and he was never shy about bragging about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen.
Don loved incomparably, gave generously and ALWAYS had a funny remark or joke to tell. He will be remembered for his love of the beach, ice cream, his Saturday morning ritual of drinking coffee and watching soccer and the love for his dog Hank. Most importantly though, he will be remembered for the deep love that he had for his family and the sacrifices he made for them.
