Dora Garcia McClurg

Dora Garcia McClurg, our beautiful mother and matriarch of the Garcia family, ascended to heaven on March 12, 2023. She gave her family and those around her 91 years of care, love and wonderful memories. She was born in San Diego, TX, the third child of Clemente Garcia and Cleotilde Garcia-Garcia. She married Henry Alton McClurg in 1970 in Corpus Christi. She met Henry while working at the Army Depot as a computer operator where she retired in 1993 after 30 years of service.

Dora was the proud mother of Robert and David, their beautiful wives, Kimberly and Jill, and her precious grandchildren Brennan, Jaxon, Madysen, Henry, Oliver, and Grace. She loved Henry’s children from a previous marriage Henry Alton McClurg, Ann McClurg Williams and grandchildren Benjamin, Andrew and Phillip Pruitt. 

She was blessed to be one of seven siblings that loved and protected each other and created so many memories: Ruben & Maria Delicia Garcia, Clemente & Graciela Garcia, Maria Louisa & Ricardo Gonzalez, Aurora Olga & Tony Bonilla, Lucia Esther & Arturo Acuna, Maria Nicolasa & Salvador Valdez.

Services: March 17th, 6pm Visitation, 7pm Rosary at Seaside Reid Chapel (4357 Ocean Dr. Corpus Christi 78412). March 18th, 11:30am Funeral Services at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (2233 Waldron Rd. Corpus Christi 78418).
