Doris Beth Federer, age 95, passed away January 7th, 2022. She was born on December 20th, 1926 to Wardell and Leo Sutherland in Los Olivos, California. Doris married Harris D. Federer on September 19th, 1951 and they remained together for 70 years, until his death in September 2021.
She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell in Worland, Wyoming, and retired from the company in the early ‘80s. After relocating to Corpus Christi, Doris dedicated a considerable portion of her time to the beach, where she spent countless afternoons with her grandchildren. In the evenings she read hundreds of murder mysteries and solved thousands of Jumble puzzles. She was driven by a profound curiosity that kept her mind sharp and her body active until the very end. Her sassy personality and unique sense of humor could make even the most serious person crack a smile. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher and Cameron Snyder.
