Dustin Jay Guzman, age 42, passed from this life into eternal life on August 24, 2021, with his loving family by his side. Dustin was born on August 11, 1979, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was the son of Graciela and Manuel Guzman, Jr.
Dustin graduated from Foy H. Moody High School in 1998. He later joined the United States Army and proudly served his country, and carried on a family tradition of honorable military service. After his honorable discharge, he achieved his Associate Degree in Welding Applied Technology from Del Mar College. Dustin was employed by NAS Corpus Christi Army Depot and worked as an aircraft mechanic. In 2014, Dustin married the love of his life, Eunice, and fit naturally into the role of a stepfather to his stepson, Joshua. To this union was born his daughter, Nayeli.
Dustin truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; playing his guitar, playing chess, cooking, reading, and he loved a good friendly debate. He was a devoted father and cherished time spent with his family and friends. He grew to become a spiritual man and, in his spare time, was involved in many church activities, including serving as the leader of his local church's men's group. Dustin will always be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, powerful testimony, and love for God.
Dustin is survived by his beloved wife, Eunice Guzman; daughter, Nayeli; stepson, Joshua; his parents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Celebration of His Life to be held at 11:00 a.m. that same morning. Interment to follow at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support. Donations or sympathy cards to Dustin’s wife and children may be sent to P.O. Box 271674, Corpus Christi, Texas 78427.
