Elias J Escobedo

Elias J. Escobedo, age 65, passed away February 25, 2020. He was born on June 10, 1954 to Jesse and Erlinda Escobedo in Toledo, Ohio. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he graduated from Carrol High School in 1972. Afterward he enlisted into Army from 1975 to 1978.

Elias was employed by CCAD, Corpus Christi Army Depot. Elias was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and grandfather. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, devotion to his family, the love of his grandsons and his great big smile.

Elias J. Escobedo is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse B. Escobedo and Erlinda Escobedo; his beloved daughter, Katherine Escobedo; and his brother, David Escobedo.

He is survived by his sister, Esther (Jerry) Wiggins; brothers, Jesse Escobedo, Luie (Angie) Escobedo, Ira (Tori) Escobedo; his son, Michael Escobedo; his grandsons, Joseph Escobedo, Nathan Escobedo, Hector Barrera; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will to follow at Seaside Memorial Park with a Celebration of Life Dinner afterwards at La Onda 3209 Foley Corpus Christi, TX.
