Ercilia I Flores

Ercilia Ibarra de Flores, age 89, passed away July 6, 2019. She was born on February 1, 1930 to Guadalupe and Concepcion Ibarra in Eagle Pass, Texas. She graduated from Corpus Christi Independent School District in 1982 and pursued her certification at Del Mar College in the Arts. She also receive a diploma from Academia Internacional de Corte Y Confeccion in Mexico, D.F.
Ercilia married the love of her life, Severiano Flores Sr.,  of forty seven years. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandma, great-grandma and friend. 
Ercilia participated in the Instituto de Culturas Hispanicas, Septer Club and various other clubs. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, devotion she had to her family, her dedication to the Catholic Church and her creative ability for her artistic inspirations. She loved dancing and singing and was always the life of the party. Ercilia enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family.
Ercilia is preceded in death by her husband: Severiano Flores Sr.; parents: Guadalupe and Concepcion Ibarra and brothers: Anacleto, Manuel and Carlos Ibarra. Left to cherish her memories are her sons: Jesus Flores (Cathy), Severiano Flores Jr. and Abelardo Flores (Diana); daughter: Rocio Isabel Salazar; eight grandchildren and seven great grandsons.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are her sons: Jesus Flores, Severiano Flores Jr. and Abelardo Flores, grandsons: Marcus Flores, Joshua Flores and Jake Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be her oldest great-grandson Aiden Silva.
