Esperanza Avalos

Esperanza Avalos, age 94, passed away on Saturday, January 28th, 2023. She was born on December 25th, 1928 to Ignacio & Maria Garza Frias. She was born in Matamoros Tamaulipas and raised in Monterrey, Mexico.

Esperanza was a dedicated teacher who taught primary school. Esperanza married her husband Dr. Sergio Avalos of 65 years on July 28th, 1957.

She was a loving and nurturing mother to Sergio Avalos (Martha) of Uvalde, TX. Albert Avalos (Jill) of Burleson, TX. Hilda Avalos of Corpus Christi, TX. Jorge Avalos (Linda) of Corpus Christi, TX. Marla Rodriguez (Andrew) of Carrollton, TX. Left to cherish her memories are also her 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 9a.m. on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Sergio Avalos Jr., Albert Avalos, Jorge Avalos, Charles Dotson, Matthew Rodriguez, Jesiah Avalos, Jorge Asaph Avalos and Andrew Rodriguez.
