Esperanza G. Shaver

Beloved mother and grandmother, Esperanza Shaver passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 71 years old. She was born on June 17, 1946 to Pedro G. Garcia and Estefana Saenz in Premont, Texas. She was raised in Ben Bolt, Texas, but lived most of her life in Corpus Christi, Texas.
“Polly”, as friends and family called her, was a mom to six children; Priscilla Hinojosa, Michael Hinojosa, Rudy Hinojosa (Amy), Pete Hinojosa (Tracy), Rick Reyna (Catharine), Belinda Carrillo (Javier). She has 12 grandchildren that love her and will miss her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Garcia and Estefana Saenz.
She was a loving, caring person, who devoted her life to helping others. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time together with them. Her beautiful smile and generous heart will be greatly missed by many.
A Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
