Estella Perez Castillo

Estella P. Castillo, 92, passed away March 28, 2018. She was born on November 22, 1925, to Juan and Adelina Perez in Corpus Christi, TX. She was an entrepreneur, devoted wife, nurturing mother, caring sister, loving grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. She had been an active Guadalupana member at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic church. Most importantly, she was a home maker, whom spent her life caring for her family physically and spiritually.
She married her late husband Felipe Castillo Jr on March 3, 1946 who has been patiently waiting for 39 years to reunite with his everlasting love.
She will always be remembered for her devotion to her Catholic faith and family. She continuously offered guidance through encouraging words. She prayed daily for her loved ones, supported her family in all activities, and believed in each of them. Her dream for her family to experience the love she had with her late husband came through in every breathe and action she made. To her, happiness was family.
Estella is preceded in death by her late husband, Felipe Castillo, Jr., parents, Juan and Adelina Perez, brothers Juan Perez Jr, Armando Gutierrez Perez, and sister Barbara Perez Ruiz.
Estella is survived by sister, Guadalupe Ramirez and brother, Hector Perez (Julia), daughter, Yolanda C. Calderon, son, Felipe Castillo III (Matilda), grandchildren, Bianca Flores (Lorenzo), Sabrina Calderon, Ruby Castillo, Crystal Gomez (Bryan), April Molina (Joseph), Felipe Castillo IV (Sarah), 12 great-grandchildren, and loving in-laws.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
