Eugene G. Boswell

Eugene G. Boswell, age 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2018. He was born on September 21, 1931 to Guy and Lola Boswell in Sterling, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle area. Gene met the love of his life, Glenna Faye Addison in 1952 and they were married three months later in September of that same year. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and once back home he and Glenna settled in the Shamrock, TX area where he farmed for a few years. In 1958, they moved to Corpus Christi where Gene became employed with the City of Corpus Christi Water Department where he worked until he retired in 1994 after 36 years. He was also half of Boswell and Dunn Custom Homes during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Gene was a member of the King’s Crossing Church of Christ in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Gene is preceded in death by his wife Glenna Faye Addison Boswell in 2007, they had been married 55 years. He is also preceded in death by his parents Guy and Lola Boswell, his four brothers Charlie Martin, Archie, Guy Jr. and Clifford Boswell and his sister Claudine Boswell Dunn.
Gene is survived by his only child, Melissa Boswell Harkrider (husband Eddie) of Katy, Texas. His grandchildren, Cody Harkrider of Lincoln, Texas, Tyler Harkrider (wife Amanda) of Houston, Texas and Hailey Harkrider of Katy, Texas. Also, his great grandchildren Lukas, Kael and Aiden Harkrider of Lincoln, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Reid Chapel at Seaside Memorial Park with a brief visitation with family present beforehand at 12:00pm. Interment to follow.
