Evelyn Frances Nelson, age 76 passed away Monday, the 15th of May at the San Antonio Baptist Medical Center. Born in 1940 in Hackberry, Louisiana, Evelyn was raised in Sweeny Texas and attended Wharton County Junior College in Wharton, Texas.
Evelyn was an administrative secretary for Texas Parks and Wildlife in Corpus Christi, Texas where she met and married her husband, the late Ray Nelson. She retired in 1996 after 25 years of service spent many years traveling with her husband in their retirement.
She is survived by three children Kelly Ritz, Kraig Allan Taylor Nelson and Keri Lea Montgomery as well as 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
