Frankie Lee Blackmon

Frankie Lee Blackmon, age 94, passed away September 12, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1924 to Mary Ellen and Jesse Honor Powell in Rocky, Oklahoma. She was raised in Oklahoma, California and Texas. She graduated from Aransas Pass High School. She married her husband, Ben Blackmon, of sixty four years on November 4, 1944. Frankie Lee was employed by JC Penny and King High School.
Frankie Lee was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. Frankie Lee enjoyed attending church, watching sports and traveling. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, sweet nature, volunteer work and the devotion she had to her family.
Frankie is preceded in death by her husband: Ben Blackmon and infant twin daughters. Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters: Lynda McDow, Wanda Thomas and Rebecca Jones, six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
