Garron was born and raised in Corpus Christi where he graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1958. He was a football and track star and won the 100-yard dash in the State Track Meet called The Border Olympics. After high school he attended LSU on a track scholarship.
He married the love of his life, Louise, on July 28, 1961. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend.
Garron’s name is recognized by people all over Corpus Christi and South Texas from the Garron Dean and Associates real estate signs that have been in yards around town for over 40 years. He was passionate about real estate, the people he worked with, and he lived to do the next deal.
Garron enjoyed hunting but what he really loved the most was riding around on the ranch with his closest friends and family with a well packed ice chest telling stories and making memories. He also had a passion for collecting classic cars. He will always be remembered for his kindness, love of family and endless generosity. He was always helping others with that big smile we will miss so much.
Garron was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Katie Dean, stepmother Louise Dean and brother Bob Dean.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 62 years, Louise Dean, daughters Liz Collins (Steve Collins), and Deanna Ray (Rick Holton), grandchildren Cameron, Carter, Sean, Lindsey (Lance Leslie) and Kyle, and great granddaughter, Landri. His sisters Nelwyn Anderson and Laina Maher (George) along with his numerous nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
