Gary Montgomery

Gary L. Montgomery, age 79, passed away on September 27, 2021. He was born on December 30, 1941 to Bennie and Amelia Montgomery in Mason, Texas. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1960.

Gary married his wife, Patsy of 21 years on February 11, 2000. He was employed by Seaside Funeral Home. Gary was a loving father and devoted husband.

Gary enjoyed his church and his friends. He will always be remembered for his love of people.

Gary is preceded in death by his father and mother, Bennie and Amelia Montgomery.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patsy; son, Gary Lyn (Nina) Montgomery; son, Daryl Montgomery; daughter, DeAnna Balestrero (Corey); brother, Kenny Montgomery (Ann); 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Altar of Prayer Church on Ayers St. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Altar of Prayer Church. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Placker, Michael Hamil, Alan Clement and John Mollema. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Altar of Prayer Church Benevolent Fund.
