George Haslam Kehoe, Jr., passed away October 21, 2020 in Corpus Christi, TX, at the age of 95. George was born on February 10, 1925 in Savannah, GA to George Haslam Kehoe, Sr. and Anna Marguerite Howard. After moving to Corpus Christi in 1932, he graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1942.
He then served in the US Army during World War II, in both Europe and in the Philippines. Following the war, he graduated from Texas A&I in Kingsville, TX, and had a long career in the oil business, working in many parts of the world, and then became a successful business owner.
George always loved the water, and after he retired, he moved onto his sailboat and was able to do some cruising in the Caribbean, before settling back down in Corpus.
He is survived by his children George Haslam “Skipper” Kehoe, III, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Kehoe Rhoden, Becky Kehoe Wood, Patricia Kehoe Clark, Normita Kehoe, and Mishel Kehoe, and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Jack Howard Kehoe.
George will be cremated, and a private family service will be determined at a later date.
