Obituary

George Porcher Jr "Butch" was born in Corpus Christi Texas on Dec 13, 1930. He was the youngest of 3 boys born to Ella and George Porcher. He grew up in Corpus Christi fishing, hunting and living adventures with his brothers and childhood buddies.

After high school he attended Texas A & M University graduating with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. George married Molly Innis on March 28, 1955. While George was in the Army they lived in Germany. They traveled Europe extensively and enjoyed photographing their many adventures.They returned to Corpus Christi. George started his Landscape Architecture career and their 2 children Mark and Kathryn were born. George moved his family to Houston to continue his career eventually starting his own company. He was a talented designer and planner and won many awards for his projects. He retired in Rockport Texas where he spent time traveling, building models, fishing, photographing, drawing, wood working and keeping up with his family and friends. He cherished his family, friends, colleagues and his Aggies.

He is preceded by his parents, his son Mark, and his brothers Robert and Hollis.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Molly. His daughter Kathryn and son in law Bill Alger, His beloved grandchildren Blake and Amy and his sister in law and brother in law Martha and Fred Rigby and eight nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel.
