Geraldine "Jerry" P. Kucera

Allie Geraldine Kucera, age 90, passed away April 11, 2022. She was born on August 21, 1931 to Floyd and Enid Pierce in Pharr, Texas and was raised in Edinburg, Texas. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1948.

Jerry married her beloved husband, Jim, of 63 years on April 25, 1953. Jerry was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Jerry enjoyed traveling, the beach, shopping and the occasional gambling trip. She will always be remembered for her kindness, humor, style and love of Jim, along with her devotion to her family. We would like to thank the loving staff at Harbor Place, Mirador and especially St. Gabriel Memory Care, where she enjoyed her final years.

Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Enid Pierce; her husband, Jim; and her brothers, Gary and Donnie Pierce.

She is survived by brothers, Allen (Linda) and Clayton (Sharron) Pierce, sister in law Jan Pierce and her sons, Jay (Glenys) and Scotty (Liz) Kucera; daughter, JoyLynn Coplon (Mahlon); grandchildren, Kimberly Hood (Ben), Katie Bielski (Greg), Jason Kucera (Carla), Allyson Monte (Dan), Paige and Taylor Prochera, and Aubrey and Ryan Coplon (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Caleb and Luke Kucera, Brooke and Lincoln Bielski, Shirley Hood and Elliott Monte.

A Private Committal Service will be held at a later date by the family at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
