Germaine M Kraft

Germaine Kraft, age 86, passed away July 25th, 2021. She was born on April 23rd, 1935, to John and Gertrude Ezdebski in Ludington, Michigan. She was raised in Ludington and graduated from St. Simon Catholic School.

Germaine married her husband, Keith Kraft, of 48 years on May 4th, 1957. Germaine was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Germaine enjoyed sewing/quilting and was a baseball fan, her favorite teams being the Corpus Christi Hooks and Houston Astros. She was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. Germaine was a St. Pius X Catholic Church member in Corpus Christi, Texas, served on the Altar Rosary Society, and was a member of St. Pius X Friendship Circle and St. Pius X Women’s Circle. Sewing baptismal bibs and stoles brought her great joy. She was a member of numerous craft organizations, including the American Sewing Guild, Coastal Bend Quilt and Needlework Guild, After Hours Quilters, and South Texas SEW-ciety. She was an avid reader of mystery novels and loved stories about Catholic Saints. She belonged to a book club.

She will always be remembered for her sweet personality when interacting with everyone. She quickly made friends.

Germaine is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Kraft; parents, John and Gertrude Ezdebski; Mother-in-law, Lois Kraft; brother, Jude Ezdebski; Sisters-in-law, Faith Roehrig (John) and Honoré Newberg; brother-in-law, John Roehrig (Faith); Nephews Richard Roehrig, Luke Morton, and Richard Morton.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Thomas Kraft; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and James Lawrence all of Corpus Christi Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Nevin Morton of Scottville Michigan; sister-in-law, Joan Ezdebski (Jude) of Ludington Michigan and 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial in Michigan at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corpus Christi Metro Ministries, Gulf Coast Humane Society, or charity of choice.
