Gil V Casillas

Gil V Casillas, age 86, passed away on December 20, 2018, born on September 29, 1932 to Catarino and Virginia Casillas. Born in Helotes, Texas. Was Enlisted as a Specialist Third Class in the US Army, from October 25, 1955 to September 30, 1957.

Gil had a great love for his Country and his Family. He was loved my all those that he met and he loved telling stories and making everyone laugh. He will always be remembered for his Western Straw Hat, Humming, and his smile.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Catarino and Virginia Casillas and all his brothers and sisters. Nina, Joe, Grace, Miary, Johnny, Katie, Robert, and Vicky.

He is survived by his five children - Gil Jr., Darlene, Linda, Jerry, and Donna, seventeen grandchildren and Twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7th at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Robert Garza, Michael Garza, Gabriel Gomez, Adam Rodriguez, Christopher Gomez, and Benjamin Castillo.
